 Lions Brew Iced Orange Tisane

Iced Orange Brew made with Lions Brew

If you're a lover of iced tea then you're in a for a special treat! Our Original Dark Roast with fresh squeezed orange juice, and a simple syrup made from orange zest will give ordinary iced tea a run for its money.

Orange Zest Simple Syrup

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup granulated sugar

  • 1 cup water

  • Zest of one medium-sized orange

Instructions:

In a saucepan, combine the sugar, water, and the orange zest and place on medium heat. Stir continuously until the sugar has dissolved completely, then remove from heat and let cool. Pour any remaining syrup into a glass bottle and store in the refrigerator up to one week.

Iced Brew

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups chilled Lions Brew Original Dark Roast, brewed strong 

  • 1 1/2 cups fresh squeezed orange juice

  • 1/2 cup orange simple syrup, (add more or less for desired sweetness)

  • Ice cubes

Instructions:

  1. Add 2 rounded tablespoons of Lions Brew Original Dark Roast to the filter basket of your coffee pot, and brew with 20 ounces of water to make a strong brew. *Brew the night before and refrigerate overnight, or brew immediately and place in the refrigerator until cold.

  2. When the Lions Brew is cold, add the orange juice and simple syrup, and stir until all ingredients are well mixed. Keep refrigerated and consume within 2 to 3 days.

  3. Pour over ice. 

  4. Serve and enjoy!

*Variations - Follow recipe above, but use our French Vanilla for a delightful Vanilla-Orange Tisane.

Add a little milk of your choice and it becomes an Orange Creamsicle!

For a tropical twist, replace the water and zest with 1 cup of pineapple juice and make a pineapple simple syrup.  Follow the recipe above, using 2 cups our Tropical Coconut, and substituting in 1/2 cup of water in place of 1/2 cup of pineapple juice, mix all together for a Pina Colada inspired beverage! Add a little rum to spice things up!
